where Mountains Meet is a New York-based womenswear company founded by women who consider themselves among the leaders of a growing movement of mindful, responsible designers. They are driven by passion for artisanal craftsmanship and an affinity for our industry’s best practices.

Fashion week deadlines.

Verbal+Visual was given a very tight timeline to redesign and migrate the existing wMM store, and then launch in time for New York Fashion Week. We were tasked with designing a digital experience with an artisanal feel, while showcasing the clothing at all times. We were also challenged with styling the Field Notes (the wMM blog) using unique layouts, while retaining the ability for the client to easily manage content.

Verbal+Visual migrated wMM to Shopify Advanced for ease of content and inventory management. The redesign kept the clothing the hero, while delivering small, delightful touches, such as animated icons and a funky logo loader that brings the site to life. Elegant lifestyle shots showcase the uniqueness of their clothing.

On the technical side, we implemented modular design and code snippets, which allows the client the ability to build custom pages with pre-created html. This gives the team at wMM the power to seamlessly publish visually interesting Field Notes. Their new platform has positioned where Mountains Meet for growth in the luxury womenswear world as their clothing lines continue to expand in diversity of color, texture, and form.
